She's a teen, feeling teen levels of angst. She's feeling so much angst that her ring tone panics her. I'm many decades removed from being a teen, or even raising a teen, but I still understand how this feels.

I think Scarlet is just feeling insecure, especially now that Timothy is hella buff. Puberty has been late but very good for him.

I'm willing to go with the "reliving childhood traumas" myself. My childhood was enough to give me PTSD before I graduated high school, so I can definitely sympathize with adult characters stuck with traumatic childhoods.
