BTW, a usefully easy way to fill gabions (including Hescos) with evenly mixed materials is a ready-mix truck* . . . dump in the required quantities of materials, give it 100-200 turns to mix evenly, and set the chute to fill the positioned gabions. As long as you can get the truck within chute reach...
