Re: Big Birds of Prey
Then there was the one they called Shakespeare. He was named for the lyrical character of his hoots... they knew he must be a bard owl. Pay up before it explodes! But, owls don't explode. Penguins explode occasionally (but only if in close proximity to the telly). GreekAthenaOwlCoin.jpg (clink)

As far as Atsali goes: that was well and truly earned!

You did well by him, Boxilar... he departed knowing that someone who loved him was there and was caring for him. Well done - a lot of us upright tree apes don't have such good fortune and comfort when our time arrives.

Frame 2: I see what you did there.... Just because Kath is comfortable naked doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy name brand footwear . A nice semi-visual punning! And, it's a wonderful reprise of another high-speed wardrobe malfunction which had some very interesting meaning buried in it. i ...

No, no, no... you guys DIDN'T GET IT. The common name for a "Day of the Dead" figure - skeletons, essentially - is a "Calavera Catrina." Catrina being another name for... skeleton ... in Spanish. Ooogh. So, somehow, that weird typo led to an unintended page, at which you have sk...

Sheesh... you're right! I just edited the posting, and somehow I had managed to get a spurious character after the closing slash of the correct URL... must have hit a key just after I pasted, I guess. For some reason I don't understand, this went to the Day of the Dead strip rather than giving a 440...

Re: Raging Daughters theme park
At this point, it's pretty clear that Katherine's Adventure is going to be a significant part of the Park. I can't tell yet whether it would be one big ride (definitely a roller coaster) or whether she's going to have earned a whole new section of the park (sort of like Disney's Frontierland or Tomo...

Re: Have A Fish 2013-3-11
I don't think our winged saviour is birdbrain... the wingspan is too wide... I'm honestly not sure. Atsali seems to have been morphing in size as well as in shape. In her fully-human form she's shorter than Kath... roughly what you'd expect for a 15-year-old girl. She seemed to be larger and strong...

That link takes me to a story about an Illinois legislator's attempt to ban the sale and consumption of lion meat. Possibly there is a national problem involving the excess consumption of lion-flavored beverages during a slushy snowstorm?

'cept that isn't written in C at all. It's written in Perl, the "Swiss Army chainsaw" of scripting languages. If it can be programmed, it can probably be written in Perl... in at least 15 different coding styles and metaphors. Perl is nothing if not flexible.

Ostritch-Sized: One way to place an order at Kentucky-Fried Emu. Or, on the road to Amber (one possible road, at least) you can get Kentucki Fried Lizzard Partes, IIRC. You do - it was at Kenni Roi's place, I believe. Partes is partes! (or would that be "Partes be partes?" around those pa...

Can this really be called a cliffhanger? It's more of a cliff-faller. On that note, here's some falling music . And here's another bit which comes to mind... might describe Katherine's next few moments fairly well. Kath is certain to end up with a broken heart (and a broken-everything-else) if Atsa...

I need to avoid drinking anything while reading this forum. Thank God it was my tablet, as it is very easy to wipe clean... The whole Fan Art forum deserves to be considered to have a permanent C&C status. That's "Coffee and Cats", as in "Get the former out of your mouth, and the...

Re: Sense Of Balance 2013-03-07
I didn't have to fall far... it just made sense. Usually societies who worship something dangerous look to them as protectors and is usually reflected in their art. Good point... and I wonder whether the role and portrayal of handguns in America, and the occasionally hysterical tone of the present ...
