Re: Sit Here 2012-08-16

I can't say I have seen a good friend eating someone whole, but I have had "one of those days" when a good scream was an appropriate reaction. The most recent one was when someone almost killed me because I was "in the way" and they couldn't figure out how to pass my bike until t...

Re: First Introductory Thread

I can't remember how long I have been reading Wapsi. I think it was some time in 2004, but I'm not sure. I know I eventually went back to do an archive crawl to try and get the back story together and make some sense of the stuff I was reading. I know it was before I started doing my blog because Wa...

From the dialog it looks like that Apo is about to be lunch. So I guess sphinxes are cannibalistic as well? Sounds like some cats I know...

YAFGC has a forum? I have been reading that thing for over 2 years now and I didn't know they had a forum... I shall have to go look and be more attentive to the navigation buttons...

Re: For a While 2012-08-08

I'm on a few PHP forums for web comics, and the best example that I have seen has been the Ma3 forum. Giz simply puts the URL for the day's comic in the first post after she uploads the comic to the main server for comics. The fora are on a separate server so that DOS attacks against the fora won't ...

Re: For a While 2012-08-08

Now that we know Shelly was Phix's granddaughter this has become much sadder. What I'm wondering is how much did Phix know when Shelly first showed up in the Library? I wonder if we will ever find out.

Another meaning (col.) is troubleshooter or bounty hunter. see "Cowboy Bebop".

Re: Self Healing 2012-08-06

I can sympathise with M on this one. She came in on the tail end of something we have been going over for 2 weeks, and we are still digesting the information and aren't as emotionally invested/connected with the principals as she is (at least I don't think anyone here has much connection with Shelly...

Re: Bia, Phix, Shelly - A Family Affair 23-27 July

OK this has been bugging me all thread. Bia is not Titian, she's a Titan. GRRRRrrrrr! And I was somewhat right about Shelly's heritage, I was just way off on how many generations the heritage went back. I was thinking roughly 2.5k-3k years at most, not her being second-generation Sphinx hybrid and f...

If the forum had been up a day or two earlier I would have made the comment that Oscar's dialog seemed to have been scripted by Bill the Cat.

Ah! THERE you all are! I was wondering where the comments had gone to... Great strip...I'm just slightly confused as to how a methane-filled fish is not more airborne than Oscar is. Surely he should be flown like a balloon? Gaz I believe methane is heavier than air, or at the very least not lighter...

Re: For My Fish 2012-08-01

the onomatopoeia of today's comic made me giggle. Also if he gets that bad with just a drop of ice-cream in his bowl, he must have looked like he was dying the first time it happened with all that gas in his gut. No wonder K is frantic.
