Yesterday I rode my bike downtown to the farmer's market, and discovered I had no keys. Zipped back home; they were in the lock on the front door. House door to market door is only about 0.75 mile in a straight line, so did not take long, and I got a little bonus exercise. It has been warm here, tho...

I've been working remotely since 2015. Planning to stick with the job another 19 months, unless it goes south sooner, times being how they are.

Yeah,my sleep cycle's been erratic the past few years,
Lately I'm sleeping more but waking up tired. After years of midnight alertness and running on short sleep.

Some decades ago, I was swimming laps at the local Y when a woman in the next lane, swimming in the other direction, accidentally grabbed my crotch.
I about drowned.
Neither of us acknowledged it.

I grew up in a coal-mining county, and a lot of people still heat with coal out there. One time when I was about 14, everyone else was away, and I thought the furnace had gone out. We had a gas barrel, so I thought I'd use a little gas rather than screw around with kindling and everything. Well, the...

We lucked out here. Only 3 inches of snow with rain at the end. I didn't have to shovel at all. Brother and I were at our old place in the Alleghenies for the weekend, left Sunday morning ahead of the front. Half the eastbound traffic on the PA Turnpike was electric utility service trucks. Never see...
