Re: Tolerated Me 2012-09-18

I just want to say I LOVE the effect of splashing in the water! Nudge looks like a sea monster in that last panel, though.

...and Nudge is also looking a bit... MLP-ish, too.

Re: Fan Art

I also would alter the bridge, now that I think about it:

I talked to Smoking Mirror the other night
Asked her what's in store for me?
Can't I have a happy ever after this time?
Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Re: Jaguar Girl 2012-09-14

Thanks! Now can you remember her sister's name, and the name of Lakshmi's sister? :) Georgette's sister was Jill. Lakshmi's sister would take more of an archive crawl than I have time for right now. :) Sometimes, it's easier to just pull out the Big Orange Book. (The one I hope to someday have Paul...

Electric Cars - The Pros And Cons

It all started with this, over in the Car Advice thread:
jwhouk wrote:If I would have had a spare $125k laying around a few years ago, a Tesla Roadster would have been MINE.
Little did I know what a comment about a car I had dreamed of owning would result in.

Okay, we've got this one going - let's discuss.

Re: car advice

If I may point out - even though I have put some miles on my car because of where I live, in relation to where I used to live in this state, I still have not averaged more than 50 miles a day in the last three months of driving my current car (an old '03 Buick Century). With the exception of a handf...

Re: Fan Art

God help us all if Monica and Shelly walk in to Coffee of Doom. Especially if Faye and Hannelore are working. By the way - there's a little problem with the parody "Jaguar Girl" - the first verse is incomplete. Jaguar Girl (To the tune of "Jessie's Girl", by Rick Springfield) Tep...

Re: Jaguar Girl 2012-09-14

My problem with the revised lyrics is that I've heard that song so many times in my life, the meter to it is just all wrong.

(Yes, I'm officially old: I remember when "Jessie's Girl" first came out as a song.)

Re: car advice

I dunno. Tucker, had he been born 70 years later, may very well have tried developing an electric car.

The difference is that Tesla Motors has sold a whole lot more in the way of cars than Tucker Motors ever did.

Oh, I should be ashamed. Dylan wasn't driving a Gremlin. She was driving an old VW Golf/Rabbit.

Re: Jaguar Girl 2012-09-14

This might be a dumb question, and I feel I should know the answer, but what does the third G stand for in GGG? Two of those are Golem Girls, but what is the third one> Thanks, all! Giggly (or Gorgeous) Golem Girls. EDIT: Okay, I guess Guardian works, too. However, I think the GGG moniker came abou...

A Wapsi Square video game would need so many versions that it would make the Final Fantasy franchise look lame.

Oh, great, now here come the X-Men lovers.

What now, Monica and Shelly are the founders of the new Marvel Comic, "X-WOMEN: MINNEAPOLIS"?
