Re: Baba Yaga's Sausages
You two cut it out; I both had the same realization 'brot' vs 'brat' AND thought it was funny too... What I hadn't mentioned yet was the funari aspect of Baba having a sausage. <shudder> (see what I did there? changed the whole narrative, iz whut...) Still, I also did wonder if there was a, perhaps...

Re: Anyone Want Some Grapefruit?
Default setting 'round here is HOT. But when the tropics start to get active, yes, we can get it from the south, the west, and the east. There is a reason why they call it "Monsoon Season" around here. --- I'm happy to report that my little lizard friend somehow managed to ride out that s...

Re: City Without Seasons
To understand it, you would have to at least glance at the fanfic. We literally took our months of RP chats in PM and typed it all out longform instead of just posting the chatlogs so others could see the silliness. So yeah, quite a lot of us have been doing this for a few years. Mods can't really h...

Dinky, now I'm hat my feeble memory has processed it, Ford dealers hated trying to fix those dual tank trucks, too. Right, but Ford had a warranty on recall work to protect their mechanics, and it didn't extend to unaffiliated mechanics like Luke's where I unofficially apprenticed...not that the av...

That's like the third Twister pic, too! I gotta admit I'm surprised with how risque the pinups of her have been, but she is an adult now. Just a shame we never got anything like these of Aunt Monica! The actual comic had quite a few risque scenes with Monica, like when she asked Kevin to hold her b...

Re: 1989 Ford Lariat 4x4 pickup wont sip gas...
Those 80's Ford trucks dual tank systems had so many recalls...I absolutely hated getting one in the shop. I'd take one look at it, walk out and into the office, slam door, scream a string of obscenities that would blush a USMC Drill Instructor, walk out, then send them on straight to Ford. Odds are...

Re: The miracle of birth .. in the living room
Too cute. Cuddle puddles for everyone! Also, baby latches for cabinets and drawers once they're mobile. My friends accidental litter had two hide in a bathroom drawer, one in a downstairs cupboard, and one in her wardrobe. The panicking she did trying to find them was epic level. Once I explained th...

Ialin laughed when I asked for help with them. Well, you might have skipped the suggestion that you make an offering of some rare old Scotch... after running through your kidneys. If you had asked me the right questions the first time, I wouldn't have laughed. Thing is, there are no short...

Re: Hoppy beer, without the hops
Celiac sufferers cannot have buckwheat either. Cite? As I understand it (and from a bit of quick Google-fu), buckwheat is entirely gluten-free and is said to be safe for celiac sufferers. It's not even a grain - it's the seed of a plant in the rhubarb family and is botanically a long way from being...

Re: Hoppy beer, without the hops
I'd expect lots of microbrews to be wheat free. Certainly many German and Bohemian styles should be. But there is gluten in barley, if that's the issue. Apparently some Corona and Carlsberg beers are very low gluten, enough that people with all but the worst cases of gluten intolerance can drink so...

The door to the room opened slowly, letting the exterior light in briefly - enough that the solitary figure could see enough to find the light switch. A set of fluorescent bulbs illuminated the room from the ballast fixtures overhead, revealing the long table with chairs alongside them. Satisfied, ...

Okay, I'll bite: so what was the song that caused all this malarkey over "belling the cat"? No song. Nope. Scary chain of events that began this all: I was playing a HOG(Hidden Object Game), and the last two items to pop up were jingle bells and a Sphinx. Al immediately popped up in my mi...
