Re: Sgt. Howard's Wedding- comments section
Working on it- Annie's Mother spent a chunk of last night in the ER due to potassium levels that went critically low... this after we just moved her into her new apartment (so new that she is the first occupant!). At one point we had six adults living in this three-bedroom/two bath 24'x48' double-wi...

James is kinda 'meh' about it- Andrew thinks it is funny as hell, because he CAN'T speak with a drawl to save his soul... but he does know some German and Yiddish ...lake_wrangler wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 1:30 pm By the way, do the boys know/how do they feel about being immortalized in fanfic for posterity?

Prices are still reasonable here in Eastern Washington- but the WINTER here is real... not like the bogus ones you are used to. As a proud Canadian, living in a city with real winters (unlike folks in Toronto...), I take exception to that remark... :x My apologies! I have had to explain such things...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
My eternal thanks to Dinky Inky for help on this- "Greetings, S'agt Greg!" chirped a petite young Lady that he did not recognize, "It has been some time since last we crossed paths... and now my sister and I get to see your abode." The petite redhead, hair worn long except for si...

Re: Sgt. Howard's Wedding- comments section
Still... hindsight 20/20 and all, I should have kept my comment to something like: So... you finally decided it was time you were "doing it right"? ;) HEHEHEHEHEH- I have to admit, when writing "Doing it Right" I was thinking about finally making Annie "Mrs. Howard"! O...

Re: Sgt. Howard's Wedding- comments section
I sometimes suffer from hoofinmouth disease... Don't we all... No offence taken- we were divorced a good number of years at the time, and I actually came pretty close to killing her for what she was doing to my children. I stopped right at the "moment of truth" when I realized I would be ...

Re: Sgt. Howard's Wedding- comments section
Well, I suppose I can put my catching-up-on-the-old-fanfics operation on hold, for a bit... While I don't think much of remarriage (I am, after all, waiting for God to bring my wife back...), I'm guessing your first spouse has long since remarried... So congratulations, Greg! My first spouse is dea...

Re: Find Your Way 2022-07-21
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/find-your-way-2/ I disagree, I prefer a close-grained tropical hardwood from the Phillipines that has almost no visible grain and is moderately light but carves and sands almost as well as MDF over any of the temperate hardwoods. I haven't made a wooden model in 4 decad...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
Up the hill on his own property, Steve Mullin was contemplating the scene below. Clearly, the situation down at the Howard house was beyond the normal- they would have the occasional guest or two, but what he was seeing now constituted a semi-organized mob. His eyes were pretty much recovered from t...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
The three looked at the boy, then at each other- "Well then- nobody can argue that he isn't your son," Glytch observed. "Indeed," Al chimed in, "right down to the impertinent attitude when correcting his elders. The nut doesn't fall far from the tree, eh?" Greg sighed- ...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
A highly amused cluster filtered into the parlor to find a table groaning under a remarkable assortment of goodies- with an expected amount of discord and confusion, people were seated and soon platters started rotating in a clockwise manner. Over all of this, James was in loud conversation from the...

Right about then, a semi-comatose Glytch ambled out the front door- “Mrnng erb’dy.” Glytch croaked as he emerged, slouched against the doorframe and nursing a large glass of “breakfast sludge”: 4 cups of milk, three packets of chocolate Carnation Breakfast Essentials, and a very hearty squirt of Her...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
Annie awoke... sort of... and was surprised to see the other side of the bed to be abandoned. Substantial light was piling through the windows, enough to tell her the sun wasn't quite visible yet, but was thinking about it. Greg was not in the bathroom off the master bedroom, so e was presumably in ...

Very minor nitpick: "high dessert" is what Okanogan County's Finest ate after their pizza during a certain adventure in a box canyon . The word you want here is "desert" with only one S. Thank you! I'm pretty sure there are other typos hither and yon, but they all get ironed out...

Being an early riser by nature, and still being on East Coast time, Al found himself wide awake at 02:30- "Nothing to be done for it," he muttered to himself as he slowly padded to the kitchen to see if he could figure out a cup of coffee in this house- he was pleasantly surprised when his...

Re: Sgt Howard's wedding
There was an hour of family chit-chat after the dinner plates were cleared- Greg did the dishes as Annie stowed the leftovers. Al, Glytch and Neil offered assistance in the kitchen, but Greg explained that even though he expanded the kitchen, there was barely enough room for two people to work it. &...
