Funny, I'm at the same point in one of my stories. Only my character just gave everyone responsible brain hemorrhages at 1,000 yards for threatening her kids.

Re: I’m Bored 2015-10-12
It all looks like quality reading material. If she was going to a regular school, those kinds of books would put her years ahead of her class mates, but a school for paranormals should have a contingency plan for that. It's probably in the teacher's manual right between how to handle kids who belch ...

And the tiny tots are most always a fount of knowledge and wisdom. If we "growed ups" followed their advice more often, there'd be less trouble. Eh, I don't know about that. I think it's more that kids haven't yet learned to follow the social conventions that tell us what to say, when to ...

Adults, in spite of the fact they were that age once themselves, can indeed be clueless, but teenagers sometimes need elder gods called down on them to get them to pay attention. For actual adults, the statement of: "Pay no attention to what other say," is a summery of decades of suffering...

Re: Mister Spock has crossed the Final Frontier...
Between my genetic predisposition for emotional outbursts and the abuse heaped upon me in school, I count Spock as one of the reasons I never became a school shooter. This event was inevitable, but not the end of the story. I hope he prospers in the next chapter of his life.

The NORAD thing is a valid point. What happened to the final stage of the rocket and what is in it? My double-take of the day: "NORAD? What's the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation to do with this?" Google tells me it's also North American Aerospace Defense Command. Makes better ...

Re: Got Her Covered 2015-02-27
Atsali's posture is rather odd. Normally when she's flying she's holding herself fairly straight and rigid to reduce air drag. Here, it looks almost like she's dog paddling. I'd suspect after the rocket her forearms are pretty bruised and her shoulders aching, so keeping them forward or back along ...

The library may not so much as removed the data from Atsali so much as it made a copy and temporarily inhibited the data in her head. Sort of like triggering a circuit breaker to prevent an overload.

Somehow I would expect people over a century old that don't suffer from old age would behave something like Thymbris much of the time as you don't have to be all serious all the time to accomplish awesomeness. I wouldn't be surprised if Thymbris was looking for a way to strand the two of them at the...

I sympathize with both Monica and Cricket here. They are both being knocked around by forces beyond them. Monica probably needed to play the power card, but she was a several seconds late in recognizing the need to go soft. Word on the street is being licked in the face by a dog can be comforting. B...

I see Pickle's eyes are more human like than they have been. More like her mama's. This looks like the basement to Katherine's place. Taking on small business ownership is a much better fit for Monica's new roll. Small businesses can be time absorbing, but if you sell high ticket items and have someone to cover for you, like Tiffany, you can earn a years living in a handful of sales and end up with acres of time. I wonder if ther...

I believe Calista. Telling one lie in front of one person, and then a second to one of them like this simply fails to serve any purpose that can't be accomplished a dozen other ways.I don't see Calista being savvy enough to pull off a scheme on the fly that makes her look so good to Astali. If she w...

I am reminded of another story where a young Fae girl's periods would cause thunderstorms in the halls. Or the tellings of Powerful and destructive mental abilities for Vulcans when they don't adhere to logic. It definitely sounds like her powers are, in part, hard wired to her emotions, and thus wi...
