I can't say that IPAs do much for me. I find the dark beers better--Irish red is nice.

Re: It's snowing. Again.

Well, we do enjoy the occasional thaw--it reminds us that winters do not (quite) last forever.

But yes, by this time of the year, winter has definitely worn out its welcome.

OTOH, by this time of the year, 40° feels pretty balmy.
And even 25° is not too cold. Shirtsleeve weather.

On the bright side, it seems to be heading away from you. If they start off with the 155mm's, though, you might want to hide under your bed. True, or just drag your 88mm out of the back yard and return fire. If that's a bit to complicated, try an Ontos, or just use your M20/75mm. Caution -- these a...

Oh, but if she got them out because you wanted a warm spell, something much worse would probably happen. A blizzard of ice-stalactite skewers, a rain of frogs, a plague of lighthouse keepers... something like that. For reasons best known to those-who-cannot-be-named, her powers as a weather goddess...

Re: My newest chicken recipe

Reminds me of the time a brother called up a new restaurant to decide if they wanted to try it. They asked whether they had fresh chicken that day. They heard a hand put over the phone mic, and the person at the restaurant cry out into the kitchen, "Mama, we got chicken tonight?" In that i...

And, as a point of order: Pablo apparently wasn't consistent with his spelling of "Etetheitian" in the comic. ("Ethetheitian" was used at least once during the Lost Dolls storyline.)
Maybe Pablo needed this PSA too.

A nice commercial--right up there with some few others I've seen, such as Sink and Frogs.

(Naturally, some have complained about it--how it portrays short, bald people as undesirable. :( )

It's about time--considering (1) the sort of education most athletes, especially in the high-profile sports, seem to receive, (2) the obscene amounts of money the sports, and thus the athletes, bring in, which is not allowed to go to the students--only to the school and the coaches.
