Empire Strikes Back:

Lando: You said they'd be left at the city under my supervision!
Darth Vader: I am altering the pants. Pray I don't alter them any further.

And our money is--ever so slowly and subtly--getting more colorful. But it was the Toonie I was referring to. I've just kept thinking of it as the doubloonie ever since I heard it called that a few years back. I find it amusing to read, while looking up the info previously linked to, that the Canad...

Totally unrelated to today's comic topic: How do you pronounce Bia? Bee-ah, or By-ah? (While my English is mostly excellent, it does have shortcomings, being as I am French-Canadian...) http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/bia And she is M's opposite number in shock, so you're not totally off top...

Well when you run around with loonies, you pick up the habit. Clink... I hope that last was a Canadian coin! CLINK [it's a "doubloonie"! Maybe a silver Spanish coin?] Actually*, there is no Canadian money called the doubloonie. But we do have the loonie, which may be what you referred to ...

I know that, and I already do, except when I forget... but some forums do that automatically, so you don't have to manually select to open in a new tab...

Maybe I'm just too lazy...

To answer an earlier post. Yes, this was newly created. I did it after purging fifty spambots out of the inactive users, and a number of others out of the 'zero post' group of users. Boy, am I glad I started posting right after registering... :D Then again, considering I registered in order to post...

Hopefully no-one will mind a thread devoted to beer and beer-related subjects. As the resident Canadian, I happily volunteer to begin! ;) Are you saying that all Canadians are supposed to/known to like beer? :o I guess I just never got the memo... :? I'm Canadian, and I don't even drink alcohol...*...

One thing that would be nice, which is something I'm used to seeing on the CRFH!!! forum (and I don't know how common that is, as I don't frequent too many forums...), is to have outside links being clicked (i.e. links to something that is not found on the forum itself) open into a new tab, rather t...

BONUS QUESTION: Who makes better popcorn? http://wapsisquare.com/comic/04212003/ Phix? or Styx? Sorry, but the best popcorn maker award goes to Dave Jones, of College Roomies From Hell!!! I can't find the exact comic where we see him in action, but in this one , he admits to it to a teacher...

First rule of tvtropes: you do not link to tvtropes. Because that's evil.

:D
Now now, it's not the linking that's evil, it's the lack of warning, such as this:

Warning: tvtropes will ruin your lives. Enter at your own risk!

Re: Bia, Phix, Shelly - A Family Affair 23-27 July

I get a feeling that Nudges gentle influence also gave Phix information that she did not have before. I think she did not realize that Bia was her sons wife and that prompted her to feel betrayed by Bia who convinced (forced) her to leave her son on earth without her. But that is just a guess. That...

Have you heard that whales are mammals, not fish? That's OK, the Bible says it was a "great fish", not a whale... so no need to worry about classification here. 8-) Maybe it was a translation error. Or just the fact that over 2000 years ago no one knew a Whale was a mammal (or anything wa...
