Re: Keep Concertrating 2013-12-17
That works quite well here. You have talent my friend. Thank you! I don't really know where I pull this stuff out from. I guess it helps that I've read my way through a small library. Hopefully the book I'm writing will benefit from this as well. I'm glad things turned out differently. My scenario ...

If a full-on fight does happen, a number of factors will come into play: 1) I don't think I am alone in assuming Mrs. Adler is a badass. 2) this is a paranormal school. I highly doubt that school's admin would put someone too weak to control a class full of adolescent (and thus emotionally unstable)...

I agree. In my opinion, being different is much better than being just like everyone else. It allows us to be proud, to stand out. Sure, there's the "nail that sticks out gets hammered" saying... But the tallest trees in the rainforest get the most sun. Oddballs get hammered, but all the e...

Happiness in Slavery. I will not explain why the fertilizer comment made me think of it and I will not link to it. Only those with very strong stomachs (or just really hate men) should look for it. Well now you've piqued my curiosity. I don't know if/when I'll get a chance to watch the video, but I...

This made me smile. :) I love it when people nerd out in cool ways. Congrats, GlytchMeister! You're my favorite person for the day! *hugs!* Oh...and if you figure this stuff out and can apply equations to it, I TOTALLY want to see the results. :D Weee! *hugs back* You would have loved the table I s...

Based off of the average height of kids in kindergarten, Castela is about 3'6" tall, which would make Astali an even 7' based off of this picture , where Astali is roughly 2x Castela's height. Now, based off of comparative height analysis of Astali and Monica, whose height, according to her cas...

Well, I suppose that a short skirt is one way to distract attention from further up. And as for who's who... It looks like Berdine is the one in the tank tops/halters, while Nadette is the one in a full shirt. So in today's installment, the three girls are from the left Berdine, Atsali, and Nadette...

Indeed, but the simplest answer is often the correct one. Or, in this case, the answer most firmly rooted in reality. :geek: Reali-what?!? Never heard of it. I have Earl Grey tea and Irish breakfast tea and lapsang souchong tea, but none of this "real y tea". Sounds Spanish, and...

Well...first of all, I'm impressed that you went so far as to figure out the math surrounding this kind of thing. However, you focused on how her flight might be impacted by the added weight...not her standing, sitting, and walking (running is out of the question without one of Lydia's non-Newtonia...

Another impaled a bird on a windy day. These trees are murderous. Are you sure it wasn't a Whomping Willow? Don't you dare give any genetic engineers any ideas. The stationary honey locusts are bad enough. Give 'em rapid plant movement and an attitude problem, and we have ourselves a BIG problem. H...

Still, I would guess that took some amount of either mutual understanding or nonverbal communication. They've probably done it before. They are probably telepathic (at least to each other) and might even have a hive mind ability (We are talking about creatures of legend here so all bets are on the ...

Well, if a big eagle can achieve takeoff with a fawn , I wouldn't be surprised if an adolescent siren didn't really notice the weight of her huge tracts of land. That eagle lifted a fawn. A big eagle is 6kg. A small fawn is 30kg. So that makes the eagle's maximum takeoff weight/load capacity ratio o...

The comments about Paul paying attention to the details of the countertop/Mucho Mocha in general and "..it must mean something!" put me in mind of Tina's choker. "She just likes to wear it," quoth Sr. Taylor. Ha! Aaah! Your right! She doesn't seem to be seen without it! Not even...

Now I want to know how the boob fairy operates. You put some SIlly Putty under your pillow, and in the morning you have Big Boo ... What? That's not how the Boob Fairy operates? If that were the case, many parents of insecure teenage girls would be very irritated by how their daughter constantly se...

I'm certainly glad for that. Yes, Nanette is quiet and holds her arms behind herself. But it would be really confusing when she talks and gestures. I had all kinds of trouble telling Fred and George Weasley apart in the movies. Not made any easier by their exploitation of their twin-hood for laughs....

That's surprisingly common. Besides the stories of twins having weird telepathic links and such, twins often develop their own language when they are extremely young, and can sometimes preserve that unique language for decades. It wouldn't be much of a stretch for twins to have a unique nonverbal co...
