Endicott-period fortifications (US) and their counterparts elsewhere in the world were normally covered with dry sand, frequently with burster plates (also concrete) bedded within the sand. Small shells would lodge...

Firing on the downroll risks firing down into the sea if the gunner is slow or the gun itself hangs fire slightly. Firing on the uproll help...

When did lying become conflated with pranking? . . . . As I've stated, a lie is not a prank. Children of that age don't really understand the difference . . . they're just learning about humor and it's a very blunt instrument. Yes, this is the sort of April Fool's joke that would send those two int...

I will point out that seventeen-year-olds having sex is one thing. Portraying seventeen-year-olds in sexualised situations may well be another. we are talking about an imaginary girl and her *girlfriend* in an imaginary world... nothing to do with RL , that has 'rules' about 'doing stuff' in the wr...

So apparently horns and bat wings are more uncomfortable to produce than are bird wings. Perhaps the feathers help to cushion things. Or else she's just had all of those years to get used to the avian appendages, and she just hasn't worn in her new wings yet. Y'know, if she were to sprout all four ...
