Re: First dose of vaccine

This past week, the county opened a mass vaccination center in a failed anchor store of an old regional destination shopping center. I registered for vaccination, but no recontact yet. It's set up to process 6000 people per day, but they had only 5000 doses this week, and something shy of 35,000 app...

Reasonably certain that Saturday Evening Post published Vonnegut, too. And they published Wibberley's Mouse that Roare d as a series. Loved that story when I was a kid. Not that wild for pinot noir as an adult, though. (Too soft. I like more astringent reds.) Lotta exposure to both SEP and Reader's ...

Then there was that weird series where Clara was stuck in the early 19th century, and mean people made her the queen. I got tired of waiting for the Doctor to show up, and bailed on that one.

Re: First dose of vaccine

Congrats! County where I live has about the same population as the state of Wyoming, but no county health department, and there is almost no supply of vaccine, and no coordination. Friends who have health issues who have tried to schedule an appointment are extremely pissed off. I'm just waiting for...

If I followed Pablo's explanation right, events in the strip happened about 8 years before the strips appeared. So, Owen and Lakshmi hooked up in 1997, but that strip ran in 2005.

As I often explain things, it only seems confusing because it is. :?

Some days I still miss kneading dough at the bake shop, and it's been *ulp* 17 years? It was cash under the table one winter when I was between camps in the publishing gulag. No stress unless you backed into an oven or dropped something on your foot. It was a lot of fun. Sadly, no succubi, though. N...

. . . I've had good results dealing with folks like Grainger and McMaster-Carr. if they stock it, the quality's going to be dependable. However, even with their fairly broad stock of spark-stuff, they don't always have dilithium crystals in the size you need. And they only stock the common radioiso...

There was a freak incident here some years ago when the ground was very cold, and then there was a light mist or fog just about dawn. Flash-froze a layer of ice just millimeters thick onto the roads, and there were minor accidents all over the place for about an hour. This was not a normal ice storm...

I get the feeling that this particular supply run will not be going to Home Depot. They never keep those sort of items in stock. Yeah. One time I asked where to find a 100-millicochrane engine and extra warp plasma for a model rocket. Followed their directions and ended up in the parking lot. :mrgr...

I knew kids who did shoot .22s in the house. That's a big reason why I decided not to have firearms.

Three years ago, I draped a towel over the top of the door to my cellar, so the cats can't trap each other away from the food (in the house) or the litter boxes (in the cellar).

They can open the door to the unheated room off the kitchen if it's closed but not latched.

Wow. This is the kind of horror story that keeps me from even upgrading to Win10.

I'm sure you'll figure it out, but I'd throw the thing off the roof or put it out in the yard for the alley cats to piss on, or something.
