Richie Havens has passed

Story at Bloomberg I don't know how many times I saw his performance at Woodstock in the film/archive footage, but it still amazes me how at home he was in front of an audience, whether in a small coffee shop or in front of 1/2 million... I also heard him play on a radio show just about a year or t...

Re: Just Me 2013-04-22

I dunno, if I was Kath I'd be more like "AAAAAAAAAUGH!" OK, so I was off by like 7 "A"s :-) But as others have noticed, Brandi seems awfully casual, both in dress and tone. It is clear that she is investigating the reason things are being kept from the library, and she herself w...

Re: Last of Eighteen 2013-03-27

Here's the thing...given that Katherine seems to be the lone survivor of a heinous helicopter ambush, how was it that she was able to keep it together (by comparison) when a helicopter showed up @ Mesa Verde? Maybe this did not traumatize her as much as one would think. And why is the helicopter sti...

At the same time, this trauma might have created the ability to remain calm when things get real, like when the black helicopters suddenly show up to a site she's working...I think we might also gain insight as to why she immediately wants to lose the suits...this incident today might very well be &...

The denizens of the fair and wonderful state of Texas do seem to make up a large percentage of the Wapsi forumites. Or maybe we're just the loudest... Not to mention, they are by and large, the most polite, honest folk I have ever met in my travels...at least the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston areas ...

Atsali is clearly the first guess as to the identity of the winged being, but we have been set up by her antics of the last two weeks to NOT expect this from her...but don't ask me, I've taken up near-permanent residence in the corner... and someone at the bottom of the pit is about to get a very ni...

Nachos with horsemeat? That's a new one for me, Julie... is it a local Texas specialty? Or, am I confused and cornered? to inform the more nervous peeps here.. *quality* horsemeat is sold in most butchers in france, right next to beef, lamb, etc... and there is nothing wrong with it!! The french ar...

Ummm - if you're not familiar with them, they're Daleks - the most popular recurring Dr Who villains. (The original designer of the Daleks died in just the last week or so.) You totally outed me...everything I know about Dr. Who I've learned from you and others on the forums  Oddly enough, I...

maybe this would be a good time for Kath to whip out that web launcher she's been playing around with...I think she'd look smashing in the spandex, too ;-)

When you buy a replacement computer, make certain its hard drive is IE-free (otherwise, the evil spirits may return), and be careful not to feed it after midnight. I surf almost exclusively on Firefox (most recent version) now. These glitches seem to be browser specific like Photobucket's recent im...

Re: On The Pot 2013-03-05

Well I am stuck in the confusion corner for good. I get that the alcove resembles one of the (apparently ginormous) spider's legs, but how does it fit in? It would have to occupy multiple levels of the now-collapsed building and it looks like the floor above it is sealed off. OTOH, lucky for Atsali ...

I think it is odd coincidence that Astali was the one in the library available and willing to escort Katherine to the Mesa Verde exit...why was she in such a hurry to shuttle K out of the library before she asked anyone else for help? I think maybe Astali did not have permission to do this, and this...

Re: Crushed To Death 2013-02-26

Of course it's a skinny ass, she's only 15 after all, and she does shape change as well. If Kath is in a hurry why doesn't she just place hands strategically and shove? That would be the faster way to get her up there. But her desire to "squeeze in" with her, might pose a problem for Kath...
