Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

By the way, what is the size limit for attachments? This is the largest I can manage to slip by the limits, and I wish I could have uploaded some larger ones, to see the details more... Currently, it's set to a limit of 3 attachments, each being no more than 256kB. Thanks. I knew about no more than...

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

I saw a somewhat amusing sight, a few weeks back... This is from a storefront near where I work: 20200609_162607_DSCF0011_620_465.JPG 20200609_162613_DSCF0012_620_465.JPG (The one on the right has a full face visor, in case that's not quite clear...) By the way, what is the size limit for attachment...

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

I haven't listened to the news much, lately, but it looks like shopping centers are now open again. There are still cases of Covid-19 around, but not as dramatically high, if I understand correctly. One passenger I have on the bus late in the evening on weekdays works at a hospital in Montreal (I'm ...

Not from Seattle, but here is the touching viewpoint of the wife of a police officer, concerning all the rioting:

Regardless of what you may think of Ben Shapiro, I had a good laugh listening to his reaction to the CHAZ... Methinks someone, somewhere, did not think the whole CHAZ concept through properly... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBZZ-PJQFZk (Yes, I know that there may not have been any ex...

Re: The deliberate fail of Seattle

Local Businesses Love the ‘Domestic Terror’ Zone in Seattle, Actually Personally, I suspect a long shot bait and switch deal, here... Show how nice a cop-free area can be, for all the media to spread the word, and when it happens "for real", like if those city council people in Minneapolis have the...

I have to admit, it's nice to see kids playing in playgrounds again.

Seeing the various playgrounds all taped up in yellow "Danger" tape made for an eerie sight...

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

Here's another example of a billboard that's outlived its usefulness... Ariane Moffat (a Québec singer) having an extra concert on April 17 (smack dab in the middle of a lockdown... sorry, not gonna happen) which was to happen at, of all places, the Corona... An unfortunate venue name, if there ever...

As more people started spending time outside, with the weather improving, they have started extending the size of the sidewalks, to promote social distancing while walking. 20200506_124855_DSCF9901_620_465.JPG The Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ; English: Quebec Alcohol Corporation) is a provinci...

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

Some times, billboards remain in place long after the event they advertise has come and gone. Or, in some cases lately, the event never even took place... Such as this one, which I saw in the subway train, on May 5th: 20200505_205859_DSCF9897_465_620.JPG The irony is that not only did the lockdown p...

Re: More Stuff

It was interesting/neat to watch a woman driver (pink hoodie and all) back up a tractor trailer into a constructions site (and quite expertly, I might add... better than many other drivers I have seen in the past). It was amusing to see the woman's cat peeking out the driver side window, as she was ...

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

This has even me on edge, because there was some craziness in downtown LR last night. I may not be on edge, but there was some craziness in Montreal, too. There was a peaceful protest, which even had the approval of the police services. But towards the end, there were some unruly people who started...

Videos. I can download several megabytes per minute of video time so that I can watch and listen to information that I could read far faster if they'd just put it in a few kilobytes of text... I know what you mean. One of the daily/weekly emails I get sends me to a page with an audio podcast, which...

Apparently, PragerU has been putting out videos on the subject of the Coronavirus, to disseminate views that won't necessarily get much air on mainstream media:

Re: March 12, 2020 (aka COVID-19 thread)

Here are two articles from Dennis Prager, a "nationally syndicated radio talk-show host and columnist. His latest book, published by Regnery in May 2019, is "The Rational Bible," a commentary on the book of Genesis. His film, "No Safe Spaces," came to theaters fall 2019. He is the founder of Prager ...
