Re: More Stuff

WOW! I just found out that GoComics is hosting the whole (?) run of Peanuts comics from the start! (I have to admit, it's amusing to see the date below the first comic, seeing as it's much, much older than the internet, let alone the GoComics site...) Charlie Brown (10/2/1950): "Lucy, am I naive an...

Re: More Stuff

Sparky was a deeply twisted guy and a genius cartoonist. Without question one of the 10 best strips of the 20th century. Shame that his work is still pushing younger living artists off the daily print pages, though.

Re: Wrong way to park a Porsche

Woah there! Are you actually advocating doing things the normal way??? And how are they supposed to feel superior to everyone else, if they have to park their own car, rather than leaving it with some poor underpaid slob because you are too busy and too important to do it yourself? All those poor, ...

Re: 1989 Ford Lariat 4x4 pickup wont sip gas...

Typeminer, I won't ask if you still have said Ambassador, because I know what happened to 90% of all AMC products of that vintage. I gave it to my brother in 1980. He fixed whatever was wrong with it that time (I think it was the whole exhaust system aft of the manifold) and drove if for awhile, th...

Re: 1989 Ford Lariat 4x4 pickup wont sip gas...

I remember those external voltage regulators. I think I still have one in a closet here somewhere. AMC used Ford parts for that stuff, and I had a 1973 Ambassador (a car so desirable it was given away twice ) and a 1976 E150 panel van (6-cylinder 300 with 3-on-the-tree manual shift) that both...

I'm thinking her gig with Disaster Area might be the real reason Hotblack Desiato spent a year dead. 8-) And after the show, they can catch a snack at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe! I'd expect lots of microbrews to be wheat free. Certainly many German and Bohemian styles should be.

But there is gluten in barley, if that's the issue.

Re: Schtupid Email Scams

Well, that stirs up some unpleasant memories. I think having the UN is probably better than not having it (the first half of the 20th century was pretty horrific). But back in the 90s, the little outpost of the publishing gulag where I was doing time got a job composing UN transcripts. Many in Frenc...
