Re: Full Disclosure discussion section

Sometimes that thing that helps them come down is growing a few veggies. Oh, I get that, definitely. I had great fun and enjoyment raising vegetables in the back yard of our rental house in the city, years ago, and I really wish the house we own had land suitable for a decent garden (we've got the ...

Crisis averted... by love, honesty, and great hand/eye coordination! Exactly. This was very difficult to write and write well. The darts bit, on the other hand, was just sheer joy. I was eagerly reading it as it rolled up on the screen...the muses were that strong. On the other hand... is Glytch pl...

Re: On current events... (Hot button topic - Kavanaugh Confirmations)

But the Democrats couldn't have brought that up because they were okay with Obama doing it. Whaddaya mean? They've condemned Trump for continuing Obama's perfectly-acceptable-only-racists-would-criticize policies in several other areas, including immigration. Neither Obama nor the Democrats made th...

He has a valid reason for being upset, that's all I will say about it. People these days simply cannot discuss politics in a sane and rational manner. It devolves into two-year-old slap-fights, with nobody listening to the other. Most forums I still frequent do not allow politics on them for this re...

Re: On current events... (Hot button topic - Kavanaugh Confirmations)

Why should I bother telling anyone? I wasn't believed then, I won't be now. I'm female, so I clearly did it for attention. I obviously asked for it, dressed the way I was(in teenaged baggy unrevealing clothes with Crystal Gayle length hair mostly covering my face). I'm also ("other"), so I...

I'm patiently awaiting my ZOMGie order(Volcano, and a Hurricane over Hawaii delayed post leaving), when it arrives, I'll do the Baba Yaga Sausage scent test for you.

Will have to see if my BPAL mystery Grab bag gets any imps of Bliss and I'll send them your way Glytchie.

Ok. On my att tablet, in portrait, it shows the poster name on top in a mobile format, rather than on the side. However, typing this reply is no problem. Board index still doesn't show last posted topic/poster in portrait, and as long as my replies are short, it doesn't cutoff in portrait. EDIT: Ha...

Re: Local Beer Gardens and Micro-Brews in General

Out of curiosity, those that drink Mead and Cider, how to you find them compared to beer? I think the main objection I have to beer is the "drinking liquid bread dough" taste I get from pretty much all of them. The few I do drink on occasion are ones that have the least amount of "bre...

Then there's the whole, "Acid free pages attract bugs" v. "Acid treated pages are light sensitive and degrade faster" debate. Personally, I'd rather keep my library in the shadows when not being read over going to reach for my book only to find it literally being a bug colony(I ...

The biggest reason that electronics are now 'disposable' is ROHS. Once the solder cracks, they're toast. Lead based solder can last decades, but straight tin cracks in just a few years under thermal stress. Another "Improvement" (Lead Free!) that is worse for the user. "Preservative ...

Re-posting here: Testing the forums on a KFHDX7, and this version has a one-inch right-margin cutoff. Makes posting here in portrait mode obnoxious. Is there a way to force it to say, use a permanent desktop mode, as it appears to be automatically selecting the mobile version, which hates my tablet....
