Re: A Timeline Problem
I have been back after years away, and I enjoyed reading the archives and getting caught up, but are we ever going to get an actual story? Like, ever again? Everything feels like half ideas. Drawn out for ever and ever and ever and often dropped with no resolution. Story “arcs” that don’t have much ...

I bought a collection of R. Crumb comics and art at a yard sale yesterday, one of my favorite yard sale finds ever!

Re: So Adorable 2016-08-26
As much as I like admiring artwork, and the little side stories are certainly entertaining, I have to admit I have been hoping for/looking forward to an intense new story arc. I just feel like it's been a while since there's been something juicy to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Re: Does the music you're listening to affect what you'll dr
I like to host dinner parties, in the spring and summer it's 2/3s cooking on the grill,1/3 cooking in the house, and in fall and winter it's 1/3 grilling and 2/3 in the house. I find the season affects not only the drinks my husband and I serve and/or mix, but the music too. So I feel the setting an...

Maybe one of the original Keenspot people can help.....
So when I first started reading Wapsi Square, it was hosted on Keenspot, and I'm sure many of you remember that time, it was quite a while ago! Anyway, there were several comics hosted there, and several whose ads I would see while reading Wapsi Square. There was one I read a lot, I cannot for the l...

Re: Quick Fix-It's For Bra Emergencies
Using something as a "splint" would work for a while, maybe a day but when the underwire snaps, the bra is pretty much done for! I did have one that the underwires were beginning to poke out the sides, I pulled them both out and was able to keep it as an "around the house" type o...

Quick Fix-It's For Bra Emergencies
Hey ladies, maybe this situation (or something similar) has happened to you once or twice in your life.... Occasionally, even with a good quality bra, things can go wrong! Yesterday at work(I teach restaurant job skills and culinary arts to adults with disabilities) and I was lifting a really heavy ...

Re: Midnight Raid 2016-08-11
Hi Akarii- I got the daith piercing because I love the look, I saw a person with one a year ago and I could'nt stop thinking about it.....It goes very nicely with all the other ear piercings I have collected over the years.I have heard about "it cures migraines" but I have my doubts about ...

Re: Good uses for bad wine
The orange peel idea works too, I have used it. I have been told slugs also avoid copper and that a person can wind thin copper sheeting or copper tape material around items they don't want chomped. I have never tried this. I recall distinctly dropping pinches of salt directly on the slugs as a chil...

Re: Midnight Raid 2016-08-11
Atsali and Castela remind me a lot of my sister and I growing up! Getting up before our parents on the weekend and "cooking breakfast", planning midnight kitchen raids when we were kids, sneaking beers and cigarettes on camping trips as teens, going to get tattoos on our 18th birthdays and...

Re: Blow Your Nose 2016-08-10
I have to say I really am liking Atsali's new haircut! I love having long hair myself but I occasionally toy with the idea of a short haircut, something asymmetrical I could spike up and such. But my love of doing funky braids always stops me!

Re: Good uses for bad wine
If I were in your position, I would use the icky wine for slug bait. The slugs in my area looooove it when I set out a saucer of beer, wine, juice, etc in the garden. Anything like that is truly like manna for the slugs! They really go for it, they will crawl right in. Then first thing in the mornin...

Re: Hello Everyone!
Making ganache (in my opinion anyway) is an essential kitchen skill. It is one of the first recipes I teach in my program. Few recipes contain two ingredients only and are so delicious and versatile!

Hello Everyone!
Hello readers, I first started reading Wapsi Square in 2004/2005, became a regular reader for a year or so then got so caught up with one thing after another until I stopped reading for about 10 years! In the past 6 months I remembered it, checked back and got sucked right back in. So glad to see it...
