Re: Over The Top 2015-12-08

I'm curious as to why Cricket is the one that knows about Devyn's problem instead of one of her older friends given that Cricket is a new student who doesn't know them very well.

Gag her with a spoon! I really really hope the cheerbimbo is being a wiseacre . . . . . . Unfortunately, I doubt it. :? --FreeFlier I have a character that's currently a setting orphan who's a gorgon. Before her heritage triggered she thought she was a normal human she was embarrassed about the Rus...

Re: Just remember 2015 11 29

I now have a desire to write this comic in as reference from some psychic in Divine Blood telling a kid "this is why you don't use mindscapes as a private chat room"

Re: Bad Things don't just happen in comics, unfortunately

Yeah, always feels to me that the best stories are the stories made to be a fun story. Make a story you want to read and some of you will get into it and then a reader who picks it up will add some of themselves to it. The meaning you get out of a story you wrote won't necessarily be the same as tha...

Re: Bad Things don't just happen in comics, unfortunately

Pretty much. The examples I used to use when tutoring high-schoolers in Texas were Star Wars and Harry Potter and asking if it was fantasy when children were emotionally abused or neglected...or if it was fantasy when families were broken up after the death of parents....or if there were absentee fa...

Rambling commission related chatter.

So, it's been a while since I got myself a commission and I'm considering commissioning our host. One thing I've done in the past is give some parameters and let the artist run wild (for example I basically paid Fred Perry to have fun with creating three characters for my Divine Blood RPG...I ended ...

Re: New Reader - Just Caught Up

Nah. My family are fake Greens either my Great-Grandfather or my Great-Great-Grandfather was adopted by a Green family after hitting the States. Otherwise my surname would be an Icelandic patronymic that I can't remember precisely off the top of my head. Something like "Oleifssun" or something though.

Re: New Reader - Just Caught Up

Don't have the time for fanfiction I used to. Sadly. Currently I am a full-time ALT English teacher in Fukushima. That and I am writing the sequel novel to Bystander (just short of 40k words right now which will leave 30k left in plan). I've been working on that over a year. I'm also putting togethe...

New Reader - Just Caught Up

So a while ago I asked around for some titles to put into suggested reading for the slice of life supplement of my Divine Blood RPG and I was directed toward Waspi Square. Well now I'm finally caught up on reading and wow that was an awesome read. And it's convinced me I'll need to add some discussi...
