Re: Doing it right...

This scene seems familiar... Oww. Owww! AOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! (Dave wails - a plaint of anguish with overtones of horror, envy, and deepest respect). Currently offering specials on baskets of bad fish puns . . . don't lose your sense of scale - we think they're finny. --FreeFlier

@ Opus_the_Poet: My migraines started later in life . . . when I was working on a computer all day. One of my major triggers is flickering light . . . such as fluorescent (or any other discharge lighting, or unbuffered LEDs) or computer monitors . . . CRTs were absolute murder, especially when refre...

. . . As an aside, there's a Discord server that has a teahouse channel with a bot doing the serving. If you just order a drink the bot might do anything, but if you add a please to the tail of the order the bot is all smarmy and obsequious. You might still wear your drink, because random responses...

In a dark corner, a shadow firms up . . . and grows . . . In a moment, it unfolds . . . and again . . . repeatedly doubling in size until it expands into the shadow of a wolf, despite the lack of a wolf to cast a shadow . . . then the shadow suddenly snaps into a three-dimensional shadow, and fades ...

Well, I suppose that's true. Just how would one get one there, however, I cannot imagine... nor do I want to, either...
Walking in wet pants can cause blisters in really inconvenient places.

Cold can numb wet skin enough to prevent realization of what's happening.

Re: Demons of the Past

I have to admit, I am somewhat confused: why, exactly, is Robert Cooper now in protective custody? Was he arrested for something? Is his life in danger, now? Sure, he showed himself to be a bully, grabbed Glytch's collar, and made verbal threats. But nothing, to my knowledge, that is arrest-worthy....

I used to play under a DM who wanted his player characters to go into business . . . which led to some interesting incidents, not least because the DM didn't understand business or accounting . . . among other things, he thought that only cost of materials were costs, the cost of labor wasn't, so pr...

This must be a weaker variant, because it feels like a typical fever. Headache, fever, cough, and a stuffy nose. When we got it (early June) it was even milder than that - we didn't get the headache or fever. My sister has COVID at the moment . . . the only reason she knows is that she was to visit...

I created one where the party is wandering through a limestone cavern, complete with stalagmites and stalactites, and find a stalagmite that's been carved into a statue of a strangely dressed man wearing a strange hat with a wide brim that's curled up at the sides, apparently two pairs of pants, a v...

I sometimes suffer from hoofinmouth disease... Don't we all... No offence taken- we were divorced a good number of years at the time, and I actually came pretty close to killing her for what she was doing to my children. I stopped right at the "moment of truth" when I realized I would be ...
