I've still got hundreds of feet of it in storage, and find uses for it occasionally.
When I was a kid, my dad brought home about 30 feet of 32 pair telephone cable. My HO model railroad was never the same...

We're having a heat wave,
A para girl heat wave,
The temperature's rising,
It isn't surprising,
She certainly can can-can.

Ok then! So those $500 speaker wires on E-Bay aren't worth it, unless your speakers are 100 meters away from the amp?

You threw us, Warrl. Macca doesn't really say anything about "hot and cold" in MSH.
That's okay, I didn't figure out what "hot and cold" referred to until this morning. (And I'm still not at all clear on how it relates.)

Got fiber optic and 1Gpbs stuff. Now my web pages load so fast they have to wait on all the Javascript sublet sites to respond.... My record so far on a news site (according to NoScript) was 50+ sub links -- nested no less -- that took 4 levels of authorization to access them all. So much for speedy...

Popular social weirdness had reduced all human parings to either homosexual or bisexual. This is a false dilemma. There are plenty of ways to have male, female, or both type friends without being a sexual relationship beyond the category of being. It's sad to see that trap being applied to everythin...

Admiral Daniel V. Gallery?
Nah - Admiral Dan was an airedale; he'd never have been in command of a commsta.
Sounded like the same sense of humour. (Why wouldn't he have been in command of a comm station? Too small?)

Later, I needed an even larger number, to use in the "software signing" keys. For this key, I made a prime which contains the Monty Python "Funniest Joke In The World". Their skit claims that if you read and understand the joke (it's written in a gibberish pseudo-German) you die laughing. So, it's ...

Queue is also the record holder for English Word Most Likely To Be Misspelled. Well, it's a hairy problem. So the young lady and elderly gentleman were waiting in queue at a British bus stop for the coach to come by. It was a warm, breezy spring morning, and as luck would have it, the wind lifted t...

As a friend of mine said when someone mentioned "Indian," she asked, "Dot or Feather?" That's a brilliant question! Thinking about it, I now understand why so very many people from India have come to the United States, to become leading workers in the fields of mathematics and software. They're all...

Ah, vowels... Some don't know how the Great Plains were populated by European immigrants. There were companies which sent recruiters to various places to advertise the opportunities, and they were tailored to match regions. That's why a lot of Swedes and Norwegians wound up in Minnesota, etc. Accord...

Re: Which Side Should You Tie Your Dirndl?

Whenever I see the word "Dirndl" I think a vowel or two are missing. Then I remember "squirreled" has the most vowels for a single syllable word, and I shouldn't be so picky.
