Re: It is done
We get several winters a year here in Arkansas. They only last about a week at a time, though, so no big deal.

Re: More Stuff
I played my first two D&D sessions as Dungeon Master last weekend, and ended up running three this weekend. We added two more players to the party, and somehow managed to survive so far. I should have read through the adventure before the first session, but I put it off too much, so I'm gonna fi...

Looks like Shawna is part lamprey. That, or she's secretly one of those salt vampires from Star Trek (TOS, "The Man Trap", and a few small appearances/mentions in Lower Decks.

Re: More Stuff
Took my brother up to the military surplus to have him pick out something, and I ended up getting a jungle hammock for myself. Now I can just use my tarp as a rain fly, and not need to make a smudge fire.

Re: A New Deal 2022-06-01
This is making me reminisce of the days before I started reading Wapsi Square. I started with one called White Hydra, but I think the creator stopped shortly after I got caught up on it. There was another I liked called Demonology 101, and "You Damn Kid" was another favorite of mine. I'll ...

I don't like that I jump to conclusions really easily, but does anyone else think that Mindy's mom snuck one or more condoms into her bag? Or perhaps there's something completely unrelated, like some movies or games.

Re: An Alert 2022-06-02
I just hope they do get the alert message. If Mindy says "Oh my gosh, look at the time, Mom said I was to be home an hour ago" and dashes for the portal without checking her phone... then we get to see if Scarlet and Bud actually shut down the portals before starting to move the anchor ga...

I missed something... What's up with the polar bears?
Also, I read (past tense) Girls With Slingshots, and I still read QC (thanks to someone posting the "barn fart" page), but not the latter two.

Actually, I think she's letting them off lightly. They essentially took her experiment from her (though she at least was being permitted to observe and give input), and the individuals who were given the task apparently weren't qualified, based on how much they doubted her already. But then, the bes...

The other day, my brother was showing his younger kids how to catch crawdads and salamanders in the shallow drainage ditch next to their house. His wife posted pictures of one of the crawdads, which had an interesting coloration to it. Turns out, it's called a lonesome gravedigger, which is one of t...
