Re: More Stuff

Actually, when I read that there was a rock formation by that name, I suspected there might have been an older definition.

Re: Broke Them 2019-02-18

It's starting to look like I called this one in another thread, though it's still possible that the girls may be just surprised that he knew that much, since he's been shown to be kind of oblivious.

Re: More Stuff

I'm not sure if I had already learned of it before, but apparently, there's a formation in the Ozarks that's in or around Harrison, AR called Glory Hole. I was already aware of the name of the highest point of the Ozarks, though, and it's also kind of bad...

Re: Covered 2019-02-10

Yeah. My mother was the top copywriter at the agency she worked at, and their top radio-TV producer, AND came up with one or two campaigns you might remember fifty-sixty years later {"Pet - you bet!"} AND worked more unpaid overtime than anyone else. And still made noticeably less than males in sim...

Re: Covered 2019-02-10

Hey, Glytch, before you get too into accusing us of sexism, none of us said there was anything wrong with the comic focusing on women. It's always been that way. What we repeatedly say is that we're just getting tired of how the main characters are continuously being written to be lesbians. Also, I ...

We keep reading because we don't want to miss it if any mention is made of the older characters.

Re: Covered 2019-02-10

When I read the strip these days, I'm really just going through the motions. It's been said by at least a few that the comic is becoming repetitive. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those two new girls is LGBT and/or takes an interest in one of the familiar characters only for that to cause some fr...

Re: Schtupid Email Scams

Actually, the username is 1234. The password is also 1234.

It's so ridiculously dumb as a password that very few would guess it, which might make it good.

Re: Covered 2019-02-10

Except this "inclusivity" is to the point that it completely sidelines straight people and males, and it comes across as "they have no place in this comic".

Heh, you think that's bad, you should see the username and password for the manual valve override on the autocells at work.

This magic moment... Do you want to get banned from the pool? Because that's how you get banned from the pool! (Well, maybe not... Nobody was pretending to drown so they could put the moves on the lifeguard.) ...OK, then. I think? In the early 90s, there was a movie called The Sandlot. One of the m...

Re: Talking About Me 2019-02-03

I've heard, more than once, that getting hit in the boobs hurts a lot. And these two girls ran into each other with enough force to knock both of them to the floor.

Immediately after typing that, I was reminded of the Family Guy gag where Lois tripped while running and smashed one of her breasts.

Yeah, I think I passed the stone fairly easily after it left my ureter. I never felt it leaving, though.

In other news, I saw a thumbnail for a YouTube video about Jeff Bezos's divorce. I didn't watch the video, but the title was pretty funny: "Jeff Bezos lost half his pesos."

Re: Dumb Butt 2019-01-30

I bet we'll get another couple of pages (at least) before Castela finally comes to her senses. She might even think Scarlet was talking about herself liking Shawna, and that'll cause a few more issues. If they'd just stop with the subtlety and rip off the band-aid by outright saying it, it'd be a bi...

Re: More Stuff

I'm not sure how, but I may have passed the stone already without noticing it. I haven't felt any pain near my kidney for more than twelve hours, so it's got to at least be clear of the first part of it. The only way I can guess I'd have cleared without notice it is if it was shaped in such a way to...

Not the worst, but it might be in the top ten. It's kind of like the time I had smashed a nerve in the back of my shoulder, only noticeably lower. It's also making one of "the boys" hurt now.

EDIT/UPDATE: Yup, it's a stone.

Re: More Stuff

For the first time in years, I'm going to the doctor. I had to call in for the second night in a row, because shortly after I woke up, the lower left side of my back has been hurting a lot. My dad thinks it might be a kidney stone, which is what I was thinking, though it could also be a pinched nerv...
