Re: GMC Crate motor Recommendations

Roller Tappets are the number one thng I'd been sad to leave off the list.

There are indeed remanu guys out there that, for about 3.5K for the entry level, will create a really great long block- but it was going to take a few weeks to generate one.

So, just plain vanilla instead.

GMC Crate motor Recommendations

Buddy of mine almost got 500K miles on his 1993 C2500HD pick'm-up truck, but it finally gave up the ghost this week, hard. Need a new, as turn-key as possible Motor to drop in. I'm casting about for a reliable recommendation I can stand behind, this guy is family. https://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS/JEGS-Pe...

Re: More fun refurbishing audio stuff

When I'm doing refurbs on HP printers (for example) I'm struck by the difference in Pickup Rollers, (very similar in composition to Tape Deck stuff). In the 'olden days' the rollers were a small axle core and a lot of 'rubber' material, these days they are more Plastic Barrel w/ a thin 'rubber band ...

OK, I went though that folder and whittled it down to about 160 images by removing duplicates and non-Wapsi art, (there where some that ended up in the 'Extras' folder due to them being posted by fellow Forum denizens...). In any case, here is a shared link to a Google Drive folder: eXtras I intend ...
