Re: Afternoon Lemonade

This might be inspired by the recent storyline... --- "Hmmm. Alternate universe," Kath mused to herself. "Wonder what kind of weird things happen in that one." And thus all the lovely fanfic efforts here in the forum may plausibly branch themselves off from Paul's continuity. ;)

Re: A late-night Tea

I have had more than my share of these discussions- combat vets instinctively talk to me- I've no idea why. I never turn them away. Closest I've ever been to combat was a brawl at the Quantico NCO club, yet the guys with chest confetti trust me. Odd- I do what I can. They recognize a need and know ...

Re: Don't mess around with Slim

Brandy will put him away, Atsali scratched his face, Justin beat him to a pulp, and Kath would have only left a thimble full of him.

Good thing Pickle wasn't there. She wouldn't have left more than a burnt smudge on the floor.

Sometimes you just pick on the wrong folks...

Uh . . . wasn't there a different ending yesterday? --FreeFlier Not only was that previous post different, yesterday, but it didn't even register to me as an end post... I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with the re-write: I was hooked into the story, and was hoping for an eventual exorc...

Re: Purpose Comment Section

Can we agree that Dune is rubbish? Which one? Aw hell... they were all rubbish of varying degrees. Comes of trying to turn a book that thick into a movie. About the only point I can reference with honor is the phrase 'My Brother Comes!' in that sing-song sociopathic tone of voice from a little girl...

Re: Something To Fall Back On

I'm sort of ashamed of myself, but, considering her probable center of gravity, it seems more likely she'd fall forward. In her feral form as a Siren, her wings probably help trim her out. In my experience, most human women with natural attributes like hers have a little extra "junk in the tru...

Maybe he can get the familiar sense, and she can let something slip during the heat of the battle? "Get away from my son" or something? That would certainly work for me. That way, he didn't really know in advance, and didn't "recognize" her, but having heard her, combined with t...

Re: Doing it right...

Waiting for each entry in this story reminds me of how it must have felt in the early 1800s to be waiting on the dock in Baltimore for each episode of the serial novels of Charles Dickens to arrive by ship from England.

Thank God the "ships" move faster these days!

I wonder if Tara brought the bear back with her. Inside her…

If so, perhaps it will emerge into the real world, forcing Devvn to face her demons in the flesh (so to speak). Perhaps this will be the point of this whole episode.

The more I see of Devyn, the better I like her!

If they survive, those two will have hopefully learned not to judge by appearance. You are likely to poke something than is better left alone.

On the other hand, befriending someone like that definitely gains you a powerful ally.

As I see it, Nadette is just stating her position in a clear and undeniable manner. What reply Atsali makes is quite another thing. Frankly, with everything we've everything I've learned about her, I'm not sure of her position. She's expressed a heterosexual attraction to boys, but has (apparently) ...
