Re: What do you see?

The outline of the model is obvious, but it is a rather remarkable airbrush/body paint combo. I rather like the Pink Floyd album covers by the pool pic. Some people don't see these kinds of things as art, and that is their loss. Oh, of course it is art. And much talent obviously went into making it...

Re: What do you see?

What, exactly, is the point of that?
(Not you, Fairportfan, but whoever came up with the idea to do that in the first place...)

My initial reaction to see <no title>, was to distrust it... until I saw who posted it.

Then I was merely curious as to what it would contain.

Re: New Starbucks in restroom of Starbucks in Kroger?

...Tim Horton's... I used to cross the borders on a weekend trip(mostly to paint the amazing scenic places), and I found that place...interesting. It was nothing to write home about at the time. I suspect that it's gotten better with age, as so many talk about it these days. I can't tell about the ...

Re: 13 little-known punctuation marks we should be using

Something occurred to me while I was driving the bus this afternoon (yes, I do on occasion think about webcomics while working :geek: ): They say that parting is such sweet sorrow , but I've yet to see a single research paper showing even a shred of evidence linking rainbows in general, or rainbow f...

All we know right now is that the things that make her dangerous are the things that we thought and mentioned in previous comments. Yes indeed. It turns out that what makes her dangerous is the sum of powers we already knew of, added to that of Phoenix regeneration, which seems to make it so the wh...

Phonetic Punctuation Too funny! I had seen it before, but it is a joy each time... I totally lost it, at the end: "All she heard, was the familiar sound of his departing horse - No way!" (as he did not want to imply that the sound used for the period (prrrt) would be said sound of departi...

If I could get to youtube from work I'd find Victor Borge's treatise on using sound as punctuation marks in conversation... That is exactly what I was thinking of. Phonetic Punctuation Too funny! I had seen it before, but it is a joy each time... I totally lost it, at the end: "All she heard, ...

Just how much does one tip a cow? 12%, 15? Regardless of how much you tip exactly, what do you do when your chosen percentage amounts to X cow and a portion of one? For instance, if you choose on 15%, and there are 70 cows in the field, that means you are to tip 10.5 cows... so do you tip the 11th ...

Re: New Starbucks in restroom of Starbucks in Kroger?

Here in the Frozen North, Tim Horton's coffee rules over us all. Robin's, Second Cup and - of course - Starbucks all have their places, but for the average Canuck, nothing beats a double-double from Timmy's. For the same reason that Starbucks is so big in the States, I suspect: It's all marketing. ...

Re: My Turn 2012-10-15

It occurs to me that it's rather easy for Bud to say "My turn to trust you" to Shelly... She won't have to live with the consequences if Shelly was wrong... At most, she'd have to live with the guilt. On the other hand, if Shelly was wrong, Monica's the one who'd have to live with the fact...

What I find annoying is that, having graduated from computer college "only" 15 years ago (that long already???), my knowledge is close enough to what's happening, or what was happening just a few years ago, that I feel like I just missed the boat, rather than having been left behind so lon...

I must say... Bud has really outdone herself, here... What a heart-stopping performance that was! Of course, Shelly may find that performance a little drastic, but I don't think she has the heart to tell Bud so... Will Monday's comic be accompanied by a soundtrack ? Hearts On Fire by John Cafferty ...

Re: How Dangerous 2012-10-09

I was pretty good with COBOL, C, C++, SQL, and VB, back in computer college (93-97). When I graduated, I had to find work right away (had a family to feed, after all), so I took the first job I could which was some customer service job that had nothing to do with what I had studied... After a year o...
