Re: Full Disclosure discussion section

Oh... apropos of a discussion elsewhere in the forum... would Victoria have needed any special attention to fuel or lubricants, in order to continue to operate safely these days? It looks as if a '53 doesn't require a particularly high octane rating for its fuel... might run OK on U.S. Regular even ...

Ooo... How trilling... Oddly enough, I have harder time rolling my Rs than most other French speaking people... and it's not an influence of my being so fluent in English, as it's always been the case. Hmmm. Can you roll your tongue? That is, can you bend it into a tube-like "U" shape? So...

Ogre, huh? Another species heard of... And it's some evidence that the Olympians and their kids might be a bit less status-conscious than mermaids. I mean, can you imagine what Jessie's mother would have said, if she'd ever learned that Jessie was hanging out with a half-ogre? Oh, the ranti...

She could very well be gently and cautiously advised that she was being excused from any further obligation to attend classes, since she was clearly unhappy with the school for that kind of behaviour... Fixed that for you. I mean, would you want to be the faculty member who told her she was expelle...

I know a guy who tried squirrel hunting for dinner using .44 magnum HP rounds. Technically, he was successful in that he did indeed shoot the squirrels. . .
Hmmmm... a bit like a point that came up in a Multiverse webcomic recently.... "hamburger" equated to "cow slurry".

Some years ago I needed to replace the paper-traction "tires" on an HP flat-bed plotter. Like the capstan roller on your tape deck, the existing rubber had dried out, hardened, and had a divot from sitting pressed against the metal drive-wheel for years. Direct replacements were unobtainable. What I...

Re: What Chemical is on Tina's t-shirt?

If it's C8H10N4O2, it would be caffeine, which would make sense.

My first guess was nitroglycerine, but that turns out to have a rather different composition.

I look for the sun In dire need of someone, somewhere, I look for the sun In dire need of someone, somewhere. Words lost in the past Of memories that will never last. My mind wanders the crowds in a search, In the search of the one that I feel is my life, In the crowds. For me this is the end. For ...

He made it sound like he had actually done shameful things which would cause his wife to distance herself from him, rather than "merely" (see caveats above) having been born into a poor family with a tough home life to go through. IMO: in a way, what he was dealing with was even harder. If you're a...

At first I thought she was wearing a Sporin (sp?) , but now I think it’s a seashell...
"sporran" is correct, I believe.

And I think you're right, her costume element is a seashell. A fig shell (Ficidae sp.) would be appropriate there, but it looks more like a scallop shell.

Having made it both ways, I prefer the Hungarian approach. But it can be hard to find affordable paprika in that quantity in the US - try stores that cater to restaurants! Yeah. You can pay $4-$5 for a single small bottle of an ounce or two of the stuff at a supermarket, or you can pay about $2.50/...

I'm gonna get into hunting small game this winter, focusing on rabbits and squirrels. Anyone got any good recipes for either one?
