Not to be too nosy and doxx'y and everything but that last time he moved he changed States.

Is this move staying 'close' or are they moving back closer to the Wapsi...something...something... river?
He said the new house is in the same town.

Re: More Stuff

Being unfamiliar with diesel and fertilizers and their reactions to each other, do they have a tendency to explode? Yes. A mixture of diesel fuel, and ammonium nitrate fertilizer is known as "Anfo". According to Wikipedia, it's the most commonly-used industrial explosive in the US (largely for mini...

Re: More Stuff

He liked to tell about the big industrial farm where he suggested that he and the manager adjourn to the office to discuss the fertiliser in paper sacks next to the diesel fuel rack for the tractors and other equipment. You know = where the ground and at least one of the bags showed signs of being ...

Re: More Stuff

FAD (fuel air detonations) take very finely powdered material that's dried. Caked sawdust doesn't quite fit - although if you have a fire, it does sparkle. (generally not dry enough) It can happen, though. If you've got fine particles in the sawdust mix, and if you're dispersing it manually (as an ...

Re: More Stuff

Actually, there are a few shop vacs in the workshop, but I have yet to see if they work... A shop vac, with an outboard cyclone separator, would be a good approach (the separator will dump most of the sawdust into a separate container, keeping it from reaching and clogging the shop-vac filter). I d...

Re: More Stuff

That would be Buca, perhaps? Just a word of caution... that main dish is sometimes called "Heart attack on a plate". Fine for the occasional treat like one you had, but not the best thing for frequent consumption. Hint: No, Nudge, you can't have any of the Cannoli. They can probably make her a lava ...

Re: * cricket * cricket *

Cricket bats are better for breaking bones. I must protest that particular slander. The North American cricket bat ( Myotis gryllidae ) isn't a bone-breaker at all (except purely by accident e.g. during an energetic game of rugby). Like most bats they're generally quite beneficial, chowing down on ...

"The driver of the car has been arrested." Perhaps redundant... it appears that the driver's motion was quite thoroughly arrested by that building. It looks as if it narrowly missed being much worse than it was. If the car had been a second or two later I think it would have dead-centered th...

Sincere condolences, Paul. Sending thoughts of strength to you and, especially, your dad.

Letting go of someone who has been a part of your life for so long... that can sometimes be the toughest thing we ever have to do. :(

Enquiring minds want to know... just why did Tina invite Nudge over, to help clean Mucho Mocha? What's the big occasion? The only thing I can think of, is that Tina agreed to host a wedding reception for some favorite customers... a young couple who appreciate the divine wonderfulness of her coffee ...

Why do we have to get such a hilarious pair of consecutive posts, at such an inappropriate time to laugh at them?
Because irony is one of the primary construction materials of the universe?

Or, because Paul appreciates that you have to laugh so that you don't have to cry?

Cass must have been taking self-restraint lessons recently. She didn't even look as if she was about to violently vaporize Valerie, let alone do so. Interesting, also, that Valerie seems to be going all squiddo from her hands, as well as her face. We've never seen her do that before. Perhaps she's j...

Maintenance refuses to come lube our compactors, so they don’t NOT make this noise.
Well, if you'd cease shredding, grinding, and compacting the bodies and mortal souls of the damnéd, the heavy equipment might not by burdened with the guilt that causes it to moan so loudly.
