Library Apps?

So, as some of you may know, I'm a bit of a bibliophile with a collection of books to prove it. This means that not only do friends and family struggle to figure out what to buy me in the way of books...but sometimes I even forget which books I do and don't have when I'm having raptures among the sh...

Re: Hearts and Hooves Day VIII: Making Hay

Update: Only one cheese left. The bries were amazing, the havartis were creamy goodness, the gouda was smoky spicy delight, and the cranberry goat cheese was like dessert, but better.

Also, you guys have a painful sense of humor.

Late Bad News

Hi everyone. Hopping on here to share some news (in case y'all hadn't heard). Jabberwonky apparently passed away the evening of January 24th from gastric cancer (per a post on his Facebook page by his wife). I only just found out because a friend of his noticed I'd tagged him for something on Facebo...

Re: Quick Fix-It's For Bra Emergencies

I, for one, am not handy enough with a needle and thread to deconstruct something as architecturally constructed as a bra (I have been known to have trouble hemming pants straight), so replacing metal underwires with plastic isn't exactly an option for me. Additionally, I have a high level of disdai...

Re: Cup size is totally related to Band size

The article's right. Band size is linked to cup size. That said, for the average consumer, the best way to think of bra sizes (imo) is to start with band size, and think of it as relatively fixed. Obviously, weight gain and loss changes that number, but it's usually the "starting point" I ...

Bravissimo US!

*sweeps aside cobwebs from Forum ID* Hi there folks! Just sticking my head in for a brief, but exciting (to me) announcement. :) I've long been a big fan of the Bravissimo lingerie stores and their sister clothing brand, Pepperberry (which has since been absorbed back into the Bravissimo name for si...

Not to be politically insensitive here, but how does Common Core algebra even work? There's Common Core algebra? I knew that people took issue with Common Core math stuffs because it looks more complicated (though it really depends on how it's explained from what I can tell...and it's mostly nonsen...

Re: The Day the Music Died

I hadn't heard about the Moody Blues guy passing. :( But I did just hear the Glenn Frey of The Eagles just passed away at the age of 67 (I think). :( I grew up listening to both of those bands. Sad to hear about so many of the music legends that developed my musical awareness passing away all at once.

Re: Tea talk

I'm not allowed into tea stores or tea websites without appropriate supervision and someone else holding the purse strings. :) While I will drink bagged teas (because they are often cheaper and easier to find), I much prefer the loose-leaf variety. The primary source of loose-leaf teas around here i...

Does cable or satellite charge you per television, or is it generally something where you pay for the service and then hook up as many sets as you'd like to it? it depends ont eh provider, but the general rule in the US is that the service is provided to the house, and how many you hook up is your ...

The Stinkweed was doing pretty good' up to her penultimate word... It's not a true reluctant child's apology without a bit of saucy attitude. :P Kath may have used the Mom Stare to get Castela to acknowledge that she'd done wrong, but she can't change the little stinkweed's opinion of Atsali's show...

Mine will be when Sir Paul passes. I've already told the people in my office that I'll be taking a personal day when that happens. :( That one will hurt worse. Either Sir Paul or his remaining co-hort Ringo Erm...I kind of feel bad saying this, but Ringo's passing won't really hurt so much as it wi...
