Re: My Friend 2015-06-02

I'm putting my guess in for Devyn being a Jörmungandr, because a Midguard serpent going "squeak" would be too funny.
I'm glad to see Jesse refer to Atsali as her friend, too, which lets a certain honey talking gorgon say "I told ya so, honey."

Some people like "horror" films. Others don't, but they are popular enough to make money. It's why they make slasher films of stupid teenagers breaking the rules that TV tropes tells you not to break. Comics are a visual medium and this scene is probably very important and had to be shown, ...

I don't know what it was about this particular comic that made me laugh out loud, but it did. Lilith. Succubus, killer of infants, in some mythology mother of vampires. Another female paranormal suffering bad publicity for expressing feminist ideals I'm sure. I like her already and I hope we see mor...

Greek Coffee, or Turkish Coffee (Greeks will wildly denounce that the way they make coffee cam from there though), is incredibly strong, thick and chewy. The closest thing we have in the US to it is cowboy coffee, which is where the coffee is thrown into a big kettle and heated all night long. Then...

This arc has been really interesting so far! I'm going to have to come down on the side of Katherine in this debate. Swearing and yelling at your mother is one sure way of getting grounded big time and like some notable people have said, Atsali can be extremely dangerous so shutting down what amount...

"Is there something wrong with the Earth's gravity in 2015?" Nadette is a seer. She should be able to see the paths, yet she chose this one anyhow? I don't think she'd choose wrong. These events may be important to bring about some needed changes in the time line for the good of everyone. ...

This comic ranges from the funny to the macabre and I'm never sure which it's going to be. However, this episode seems to be leaning to the Warner Bros. side of things and I can't say that I'm sorry! :D ... sez the one with the username that could easily belong to Dot Warner. HA! Maybe! Maybe!

Well I was fooled. The "bad guy" isn't a "bad guy." It was just like when Atsali slugged Tsilla. There is a lot of family resemblance between Nudge, Tsilla and Thymbris! I'm glad Thymbris took being slugged well and even said Atsali's dad would be proud!

Well it was an attack yesterday, not a mistake like hitting Tsillah some time before. This thing is malevolent. I've never met a Siren so I have no idea what their innate abilities are so who knows if this isn't natural to her heritage. Maybe she's sparred Shelly and Monica which sure would explain ...

Birds that kick are dangerous! I have no problem seeing them as dinosaurs. Atsali is very intelligent which would give her at least a +5 with a kicking attack.

*snrk Randi! That was a good one. Good thing the Author/illustrator is exempt from the Pun Vault! ;) Okay. on to other important things: sa·tyr/ˈsatər,ˈsātər/noun 1.one of a class of lustful, drunken woodland gods. In Greek art they were represented as a man with a horse's ears and tail, but in Roma...

Maybe Monica is reflecting upon the fact that she "killed" Nudge. Yes, in a fit of anger not unlike Cricket's phantom assault on the cheerleader's Monica sent Nudge into a volcano not knowing that it was like giving a bath to a dog. Cricket possessed the character to not actually do it. I ...

It's never been explicitly spelled out just what Monica's influence over golems is.. The way I see it, Monica is the keeper of the Golem Girls according to Tepoz they chose her. Keeper implies implicit control, like a zoo keeper has control of the animals in a zoo. As you can see, the added code li...

Well, my thoughts on the matter of Monica being able to control the Golem Girls is, yes she can. She chose not to and let them be autonomous as long as they behave themselves. She considers them friends (especially Jin), not slaves or servants, even though as guardians they feel responsible for her ...

A very powerful visual depiction. Wordless; it knocks you in the guts. I really can't offer advice or comment on this particular storyline for Bud or Kevin. I'll be drinking coffee and eating a biscotti at the Confusion Corner, perhaps I'll see you there. Oh, before I forget and log out, I'll say it...
